By creating an account or using the Ubora Institute platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Account responsibilities
- You must provide accurate information when registering.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account.
- Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Sharing your login is not permitted.
2. Course access
- Once payment for a course is approved, you receive access to that course's content.
- Course materials are for your personal learning only and may not be redistributed.
- We may update, replace, or retire course content to keep it current.
3. Certificates
- Certificates are issued when you complete the required lessons and pass the final exam.
- Certificates are verifiable via a public verification link and remain valid subject to these terms.
- We may revoke a certificate obtained through fraud or violation of these terms.
4. Referral policy
- You may share your referral link with genuine prospective learners.
- Self-referrals, fake accounts, spam, or misleading promotion are prohibited and will result in forfeited rewards.
- Referral rewards are paid out subject to the payout thresholds and methods shown in your wallet.
5. Payments
- Prices are shown in USD or the local equivalent at checkout.
- Payments are processed by third-party providers (e.g. Pesapal, M-PESA). Their terms also apply.
- You must not initiate fraudulent chargebacks. Doing so may result in account suspension.
6. Intellectual property
All content on the platform — including videos, notes, quizzes, code samples, certificates, and branding — is owned by Ubora Institute or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the content for personal learning. You may not copy, resell, or publicly redistribute the content without written permission.
7. Prohibited activities
- Attempting to bypass authentication, payment, or access controls
- Scraping, mirroring, or automated bulk downloading of course content
- Uploading malicious code, spam, or unlawful content
- Harassing other learners in community spaces
- Using the platform to commit fraud
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or put other learners at risk. Where possible we will notify you and give you a chance to respond.
9. Disclaimer
The platform is provided "as is". While we work hard to keep it running smoothly, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Course outcomes depend on your effort.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
